We Miss You Holly!

We had a great time visiting Holly, we miss her so much.  The strangest thing in the world is watching someone grow from a little girl into a young women.  It makes me feel so old to look at this 16 year old girl and remember when I first met her when she was just 4 years old.  (4 years old below)

We Love you Holly!

Redding- Day 2

The second day that we were there we went to the Potem Waterfalls.  We had to drive for about an hour up a windy dirt road, but as you can see it was well worth it.  So Beautiful!

On our way to the Caverns

Redding

For Memorial Day weekend we went to
Redding, Ca. to visit Holly.
It was a long drive, but we had a good time.
On Saturday we went to see the Lake Shasta Caverns.
First they take you across Lake Shasta on a boat,
then you drive up the mountain in a shuttle and
then you take a tour through the mountain's caverns.
Very Cool!

My New Bedspread

Italian Framed Sateen Bedding I went to visit my mom for Mother's Day and we went up to the Restoration Hardware in Salt Lake City and I got a new bedspread, isn't it pretty?, now let's just see if it looks like that on my bed.

Don't you just love weddings

Weddings always remind me of why I got married and how much I love my husband, and no matter how hard I try I can never get through the father/daughter dance with dry eyes, it's a curse.  This Saturday we went to Whitney and Jeremy's wedding.  Here is a picture of them dancing, her dress was amazing!  And a picture of me, Don, Todd and Emily at the Temple.

So fun to be a mommy!

There is nothing like the joy you get from spending time with your kids and watching them grow up.  Now if I could only get the hang of taking a picture of ourselves I would be complete :).

Eli the brave!

I was so proud of Eli, he went on this mega coaster and I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but it has a pretty good drop and Eli took it like a champ and had a blast.  We also went on a dragon coaster and Eli said that was his favorite ride along with the one where you shoot the lasers at targets as you ride along in a jeep.
I had two kids to watch over, Eli and another boy named Bryan (not shown in this picture).  They were both great, listened well with very good behavior- but check out the other little monsters that were in our group.  But all that energy made the day very fun and the drive home very drowsy.

Kindergarten and Legoland

Last Friday I went with Eli's class to Legoland.  We had a great time and I had such a blast hanging out with my little man.

Out comes the sunshine to dry up all the rain

Finally life is getting back to where it should be.  Over the past few months I have felt so overwhelmed with what has been happening with our terrible school district and all these crazy headaches, but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel- my doctor has finally found the medication that works for my head and I am so excited.  About a week ago I went back to the doctor to get something different because the first try didn't work (in fact the side effects drove me crazy with no effect on the pain), he gave me something different and also a referral for an accupuncturist (very excited to try that).  A couple days later I went to bed with a moderate headache and woke up with a real pounder, so I took the new meds and about twenty minutes later a warm rush came up and over my head and my body felt really heavy and TA DA- the headache was gone.  Woo-hoo for the new medication!  And the best thing is that the side effects are not so bad, just a little tired and heavy, but still functional.  So I guess some good has come from all this, I finally can have my head back and I am officially taking a break from teaching and staying home with my kids for a while.
