Spring Break

All right so maybe I didn't actually finish all these things during spring break, but they all started on spring break so that counts enough for me.
Everyday I used to walk into my front room and see this....
I know it isn't disgusting or anything, it is just very plain and boring.  So we decided to add a little something to it until the summer when we have enough time to do some built in shelves and a window seat on the far wall.  This is what it looks like now.

I still have a couple crafty things planned for the walls, but at least it breaks it up a bit.

Our ward is having a Friday Night Frenzy in May and since I am on the committee I had to prep one of the crafts we will be making.

Now I just can't decide where I like it the most.

A few weeks ago my dad mentioned that he wanted all of our family to go on an Alaskan cruise this summer.  However, we found out that babies have to be 6 months old to go on cruises and since my sister Jana just had Molly that won't work out this year.  So instead we are all going to HAWAII together (Can you feel my excitement?)  I have been to Maui twice, but this time we are going to Kauai and the best part is this time I will have Don and the boys with me.  I am so excited!  Plus we are all going; my dad, stepmom, mom, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews......
We finalized our plans during spring break and then my sister Tina sent us all an email saying she was taking less to Hawaii; meaning she was going to lose some weight.  So she invited us all to join her.  We had 90 days from then so Don and I have decided to do P90X.  We are now on day 15.  It is hard, but I love it.  The hard work makes you feel really good and my arms already seem smaller to me.  My dad asked why I wanted to work so hard and I told him that the muffin top and bingo wings have to go.  They are not swimsuit friendly.  If you want a funny conversation try describing what a muffin top and bingo wings are to your 64 year old dad. :)  He said as long as he can golf while he is there he doesn't care what he looks like.  Apparently, my stepmom has some other ideas because he came home the other day and found a month supply of nutri-system for men on his doorstep.  We are all trying different methods but have the same goal to be a bit healthier by June.
Overall spring break was very productive.  I also got to go to Utah to see my new niece.  She is so cute, but is still in that sleep all the time phase.  My cousin Regina had her baby while we were up there as well.  Babies everywhere! This year has been a lot of fun so far.
