Opportunity?

I think it has been said that there is opportunity in every footstep and every time God closes a door he opens a window.  I really have had to try hard to keep that in my mind this week.  On Tuesday I got an email from the school district saying that they wanted to meet with me about my employment status for next year- yeah that means that we will not be needing you next year.  So I went in to discuss it and they told me that I was not being renewed for no cause- so they weren't going to tell me why.  So instead I resigned.  The thing that sucks the most is that even though they are telling me that they don't want me there, they will not just let me go now, so I have to continue to go back there everyday even though there really is no point.  The only good thing is that I have saved most of my sick days for the last three years and so after this week I will be able to take two days off every week for the rest of the year.  Now I guess I am just waiting for a couple windows to open.  I think right now is a good time to try something new, I just have to figure out what that new thing is.
