This past weekend we took part in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Our team 'Hope' walked around a track for 24 hours straight to show that cancer never sleeps and that we are willing to fight back to help find a cure.

The relay

Here is a
picture of us before the event started.
And here is the after picture.
It was a long 24 hours and we estimated that we each walked about 15-20 miles over the whole
day.
started at 9am on Saturday and
ended at 9am Sunday. On Saturday night they had a luminary ceremony and lined the track with candle filled bags dedicated to those who have fought cancer. We
dedicated one to my stepmom Beth who has been battling breast cancer and one to my Aunt Carole who lost her life to breast cancer 4 years ago.
I am so glad we had a chance to be a part of such a wonderful, yet challenging experience. We had a lot of fun, got blisters and look forward to recruiting more people for our team for next year. Thanks to my team for all you did, Love you all.
